Amanda Dunlap

CEO, AFP, Royal Alliance Financial Advisor

Amanda Dunlap is a Financial Advisor and Registered Financial Consultant. She holds a series 7,63,66 and insurance license as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Texas State University.

Amanda joined a small firm in 1996 with an entry-level position as a part-time receptionist. Over time, her knowledge and skills increased, as did her responsibility and education.  In 2019 she bought half of the now much bigger practice and ultimately created her own firm, Absolute Financial Planning. Now, as the business owner, she has redefined the goals and objectives of the firm to suit clients in any situation and to deliver the best client experience while managing an open and trusting relationship.

She has been a mentor, a teacher, a friend, and most importantly, a trusted advisor to her clients. She focuses on fee-based financial planning and retirement income distribution strategies, helping women become more financially savvy and confident. To keep clients informed, she leads our education classes, attends all of our client events, and is the host of our WTFinance Wednesday women's happy hour. She is also available for public speaking engagements and group discussions.

As the Philanthropy Chair on the board of directors for Texas Women in Business (from 2018-2020), Amanda organized the philanthropic efforts of the group and volunteered for local organizations that help women and children in the Austin area.  She has volunteered or raised money on behalf of organizations such as Seedling Mentors, Austin Child Guidance Center, Austin Diaper Bank, Dress for Success, Healing Our Heros, and The Girls Empowerment Network.

Amanda is an Austin native and spends her free time with her husband and 2 children traveling and going to music festivals, water parks, and beaches.  Her long-term goal is to create a financial literacy program available in local schools to help build a foundation in financial education for future generations.
